I arrive late because of a snow storm! Every one helps me to park my safety on the parking lot! Room is great. Recommend !

Missing some of the old charm but room was spacious. Furniture was scarce, and arm chair or dining set might have filled the suite a bit better. Over all lots of space for the kids to run around. Unfortunately we were unable to use the pool but saw a lot of families coming from it, once they have their other elevator running it will be much more efficient to maneuver luggage. The restaurant was great. Nice standard breakfast included with our room booking, was great.

No idea why this hotel get's a low star rating - it is wonderful. Great downtown location, lovely view of the lake, and one of the best free breakfasts I've had. The room is spacious, clean, and the bed so comfy. I love the feel of an older hotel like this rather than one of the chains. The highest recommendation from me! (Oh, and to top it off the front staff were very nice and charming.)

PS. I felt my cold symptoms going high because of sheets and the musty smell the room had. If you have allergies, watch out!!! Good stay would visit again. The breakfast continental style was really good - free with the room charges. Overall a good stay. Core downtown and felt a little unsafe with homeless people but no harm nowadays all major cities have homeless drugged people in downtown not new.

I recently stayed at this hotel with my family, and I have to say—it was a fantastic value for the price! While the building is definitely older and shows its age in places, that’s actually part of its charm. You can tell this place has a lot of history, and there’s something really cozy and nostalgic about that. Our room was very spacious, and the view of the lake from our window was absolutely breathtaking—definitely one of the highlights of the stay. Breakfast in the morning was delicious, and we were especially impressed by the service. Our server, an older gentleman, was incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel right at home. It’s rare to come across that level of genuine hospitality these days. The kids enjoyed a swim in the pool, which was decent and a nice bonus amenity for a property like this. If you’re looking for somewhere affordable with a touch of history, friendly service, and unbeatable views—this place delivers. We’d definitely stay again!

Prince Arthur Waterfont hotel is my go to hotel for when I travel to Thunder Bay. What was supposed to be a 1 day stay at the hotel turned into a week stay due to my partner having a medical emergency. The staff at the hotel were all very helpful and quick to answer all my questions that I had. It was also really nice that the hotel was pet friendly so I was able to bring my dogs with. The view from the hotel is stunning, over looking the water and having the pedestrian bridge leading from the hotel over to the park was very nice. Onsite Laundry, pool and hot tub were all nice amenites to have during this sudden extended stay The restraunt and bar on site has a great selection of food and drinks and the resraunt staff were all friendly and helpful as well. The hotel is located with in walking distance of many other restraunts as well. I would like to extend my thanks to the Staff and managment at the Prince Arthur hotel. Thank you for providing an amazing place to stay while we were up in Canada.

It is a historic hotel in the downtown area. I saw some reviews regarding homeless people around but it seems to be the situation in the downtown areas, but the hotel itself seems quite safe with key card access. If you can get a Lake View room, the view is extremely nice as seen in the photo. Breakfast is tasty as well if you can get the voucher included in the rate.

This is an old hotel but I bet it would have a lot of stories to tell. It is well maintained with some old cosmetic issues, but nothing that would affect your stay. It was clean and quiet for the most part. Large spacious rooms that could use maybe a small table or something for putting the suitcases on. Of course you can hear some traffic. There is also a pool and a hot tub as well as a washer and dryer that uses coin if you are in need of one. Security people and cameras watch the parking lot and interior of the building so you feel safe. I would stay there again for sure. My daughter and I had a good nights rest to continue on our trip. This hotel is a fair priced option with a decent stay. Other hotels tend to raise their prices ridiculously and, take advantage of travelers who have no other choices. Across the parking lot there is a boardwalk to go and look at the harbour which is beautiful.
